QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

Education : BS Degree in Commerce/Business Administration major in Accounting
Experience : One year relevant experience
Training :  Four hours relevant training
Eligibility : RA 1080 (CPA)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Responsible for the accounting and bookkeeping functions of the station’s financial transaction. Maintain book of accounts for corporate, trust, and BDO funds;

2. Recommend improvement in the existing accounting system for efficient and timely report generation;

3. Responsible for the analysis, review and approval of Journal Entry Vouchers(JEV);

4. Responsible for the preparation of financial reports and its supporting schedules for submission to the Finance Division/Donor Agencies;

5. Responsible for the reconciliation and analysis of account balance, claims and other financial records;

6. Certify the completeness of all necessary documents of the Station’s disbursement vouchers and liquidation reports;

7. Certify availability of funds;

8. Approve BUdget Utilization Request (BUR);

9. Regularly maintain fund balances of each fund/project;

10. Regularly update the Branch Manager of the station’s financial status that may be deemed necessary in his/her decision making;

11. Comply with the IMS Policy, Procedures, Programs and Projects of PhilRice.

12. Perform other related duties and responsibilities which you deem necessary and beneficial to the station’s operations.

Eligibility : Appropriate eligibility for second level positions (CS Prof, RA 1080, PD 907, PD 997)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Supervise the interdisciplinary, collaborative and consultation implementation and review of the projects under the National Rice and Rice-based R&D Programs within his/her programs assignments;

2. Supervise the preparation of technical reports, papers and other documents pertaining to the implementation of projects/studies under the National Rice and Rice-based R&D Programs within his/her programs assignments;

3. Supervise the preparation of Rice and Rice-based R&D proposals within his/her program assignment funding and/or implementation of local or international line or funding R&D agencies;

4. Supervise the conduct of laboratory and fieldwork, gathering and interpretation/analysis of data and other related activities for the R&D projects under his/her program assignments;

5. Supervise the review and evaluation of on-going and completed projects undertaken under the National R&D Program within his/her program assignments;

6. Provide leadership support in the day-to-day activities of projects/studies under the National R&D Program within his/her program assignments;

7. Provide technical expertise in his area of specialization in trainings conducted by PhilRice and other trainings institutions;

8. Comply with the IMS Policy, Procedures, Programs and Projects of PhilRice; and

9. Perform other related task from time to time
