QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

Education : Bachelor’s degree relevant to the job
Experience : two (2) years of relevant experience
Training : eight (8) hours of relevant training
Eligibility :Appropriate eligibility for second level positions (CS Prof, RA 1080, PD 907, PD 997)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties and Responsibilities:
    1. Participate in the formulation, development and updating of the national rice-based and related research program on his/her area of responsibility;
    2. Attend to the planning, programming, monitoring, evaluation and execution of national rice-based and related research and development program;
    3. Meet and coordinate with research teams of other agencies/institutions engaged in similar activities/concerns;
    4. Provide technical leadership in the implementation and review of projects/studies within his/her of specialization and program assignment;
    5. Coordinate the day-to-day activities of the project/studies under his/her supervision;
    6. Generate proposals for special research projects/studies for funding of local or international funding agencies within his/her area of specialization and program assignment;
    7. Generate reports/papers of projects/studies under his/her supervision and program assignment;
    8. Implement at least two (2) projects under his/her field of specialization and program assignment;
    9. Develop systems and procedures in the efficient and effective conduct of studies under his/her area of undertaken within his/her area of specialization and program assignment;
    10. Participate in the organization and conduct of annual reviews of on-going and completed projects undertaken within his/her area of specialization and program assignment;
    11. Provide technical expertise on training/lectures conducted by PhilRice and other research and development institutions; and
    12. Comply with the IMS Policy, Procedures, Programs and Projects of PhilRice.
    13. Perform other related tasks from time to time.
