“Sagot ko ang magulang ko! Isang kampanya upang hikayatin ang mga kabataang maging infomediaries”

How to engage the youth in agriculture when the interest of most is diverted to endeavors very different from it is a question this campaign is trying to answer. Scholars have been identifying the problem on youth outmigration from rural areas but little has been said about keeping them engaged in agriculture.

The campaign is reaching out to infomediaries, particularly high school students across the country. Infomediaries are people who facilitate access to information.

The campaign engages schools to serve as nucleus of youth engagement in agriculture.

Philippine Rice Research Institute (PhilRice) is a government corporate entity attached to the Department of Agriculture created through Executive Order 1061 on 5 November 1985 (as amended) to help develop high-yielding and cost-reducing technologies so farmers can produce enough rice for all Filipinos.
