To fellow stewards of PhilRice, partners, and our rice farmers:
On behalf of the General Administrative Support Services sector of PhilRice, I convey my profound appreciation and gratitude for your invaluable contributions in pursuit of our shared vision “Rice-Secure Philippines.” Our collective efforts in sharing our dreams, talents, and our time for the greater cause of helping our government provide the staple food requirement of our people have emboldened us to persevere and overcome the problems we encountered. The difficulties we faced stirred our great potentials that resulted in more accomplishments. These were fairly rewarded through the many prestigious awards bestowed on our colleagues in 2018. Our great God has always provided use with more wisdom and blessings. Thus, with pure love and joy, we celebrate Christmas to share our blessings to our neighbors in need.
For the coming new year, let us continue building a stronger PhilRice by harnessing the basic resources within us and further strengthening our partnerships with other institutions to surpass the achievements we have earned. We must continue to adhere to our core values of relevance, integrity, collaborative spirit, and excellence. These are the fundamental principles that will sustain the trust and confidence of our farmers, partners, collaborators, and our political leaders.
The new year will be another baptism of fire for our Institute as we face the formidable task of leading the massive rice seed industry development of our country. We will be entrusted with a bigger budget, which will surely push the limits of our capacities. But let us not cower from this great accountability. Let us intensify our collaborations and alliances. Let us strengthen our commitment to make a difference in the lives of our farmers. The future is full of uncertainties but our roadmap is clear, so without doubt we can reach our goal of enhancing the capability of our farmers to make rice available, accessible, and affordable to all Filipinos at all times.
