Pampangueño farmers learn rice on air. Thirty-five farmers in Pampanga recently finished a course on rice and rice-based farming technologies through School-on-Air titled “Maparalang Ortelanu” (wise farmers), a collaborative initiative of the Department of Agriculture Regional Field Office 3 (DA-RFO-3) and PhilRice. Armando G. Urbano, one of the top achievers, thanked both agencies for the initiative as they learnt several technologies that they could apply to their farm. During the graduation ceremony held at Bambang, Pampanga on February 9, DA-RFO-3 Regional OIC-Executive Director Engr. Roy M. Abaya expressed his gratitude to the farmers who participated in the said program and he encouraged them to apply and share what they have learnt to their fellow farmers.
