Multi-purpose seeder for Abra farmers. PhilRice Batac promotes the use of multi-purpose seeder through a technology generation and verification trial in Pidigan, Abra. Multi-purpose seeder reduces  crop establishment cost and seeding rate as its performance is more accurate than manual broadcasting. عاوز لعبه العربيات University of the Philippines-Los Baños, local government unit of Pidigan, and Office of the Provincial Agriculturist of Abra tie up for this project.

 

 

Brigada Eskwela. PhilRice Bicol joins Brigada Eskwela 2019 at Batang Elementary School in Ligao City, Albay. The station also distributes vegetable seeds and knowledge products on rice and rice-based farming during the activity.

 

New study in Agusan. Researchers in PhilRice Agusan are identifying traditional varieties that have strong resistance against white stemborer during the rice crop’s reproductive stage. عايز لعبه الكور Researchers have already monitored 75 traditional varieties that may contain resistance.

About 70 PhilRice Midsayap staffers were trained
on crafting PhilRice Gender and Development (GAD) agenda and budget and in analyzing
GAD-tagged projects using the Harmonized Gender and Development Guidelines
(HGDG) tool. Gender laws were also discussed.
