Farm Business School Graduation

More resilient rice growers.  PhilRice Bicol Branch Director Victoria C. Lapitan joined farmers from Ligao City and Polonagui, Albay who can now better manage their rice fields after graduating from a season-long course, Climate-smart Farm Business School, Oct. 5. In partnership with the Agricultural Training Institute Region 5, PhilRice Bicol trained farmers on climate-ready technologies and business farming. PalayCheck System, climate-resilient varieties, Minus-one Element Technique, leaf color chart, and controlled irrigation are among the technologies promoted. Production of mushroom, corn, and vegetable and farm business management were also included in the training.
