PhilRice Magazine and PhilRice on Air (Bukid at Buhay) were recognized as Best Agricultural Magazine and Regional Agricultural Radio Program of the Year, respectively. The award was given by the Philippine Agricultural Journalists, Inc and San Miguel Corporation during the 2018 Binhi Awards held at Diamond Hotel in Makati, March 28.
Philippine Rice Research Institute was awarded by Bureau of Plant Industry-National Seed Industry Council (NSIC) as 2019 Outstanding Seed Innovator Award (Breeding Institute Category) for its exemplary innovations leading to the development and registration of eighty-seven outstanding rice varieties during NSIC’s anniversary celebration held at BPI Malate, Manila, March 28.
