Millionaire`s beginning. “….Early to rise makes one healthy, wealthy and wise.” More than a thousand farmers flock early to the experimental fields of Philippine Rice Research Institute in Science City of Muñoz, Nueva Ecija to learn about new technologies that will help them earn P1M a year in a hectare. 
During the launching of Gusto namin Milyonaryo kayo campaign on April 2, farmers were presented with the latest rice technologies. These include varieties for saline, rainfed, and irrigated lowland with potential yield ranging from 6 t/ha, even in adverse condition, to 12 t/ha; Metarhizium anisopliae, a fungal microbial agent that controls rice black bug developed in powdered form as an alternative pest management strategy; and Rice Crop Manager, an internet-based device used in identifying nutrient applications.
Rototiller, land preparation machine that reduces labor cost and nutri-rice milk, healthy drink made from germinated brown rice containing Gamma Amino Butyric Acid that improves brain and cardiovascular functions and can slow down the effects of aging, were also showed to the farmers.
