Graduates of a specialized implementers’ course under the Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund (RCEF) reported significant improvements in their critical thinking and facilitation abilities.

The 10-day training, held from Sept. 3-13 in Science City of Muñoz, Nueva Ecija, equipped participants with practical tools to enhance their decision-making and leadership in rice education.

The course focused on the PalayCheck System, a science-based rice management approach, combined with hands-on field activities to deepen understanding and application.

Representatives from the Department of Agriculture Regional Field Offices, local government units, and state universities from Regions I, IV-A, IV-B, and V-VIII took part in the training.

Participants noted that the program sharpened their problem-solving skills and improved their ability to guide and support farmers effectively.
