DA-Philippine Rice Research Institute (PhilRice) has launched RiceLytics Mobile View Version, a mobile view of the Rice Data Analytics website that transforms how rice data is accessed and utilized across the Philippines.

This innovative tool marks a significant leap toward a future where rice governance is guided by timely, accurate, and actionable information.

Developed by the PhilRice Data Analytics Center, RiceLytics Mobile offers researchers, policymakers, local governments, and industry stakeholders seamless access to comprehensive rice industry data—including farmer demographics, production trends, and technology adoption—at the national, regional, and provincial levels. Its mobile-friendly design means critical insights are now available anytime, anywhere, without the need for app downloads.

“With RiceLytics Mobile, we are ushering in a new era of data-driven rice governance that builds on PhilRice’s 40-year legacy of research and innovation. By bridging data and decision-making, this platform empowers all stakeholders to support smarter, more resilient rice farming in the country,” said Aljon L. Laureano, PhilRice Information Systems Analyst.

Installing the home screen icon is quick and easy with just a few taps. For Android mobile devices, users must open Google Chrome to search the word “Ricelytics” or type ricelytics.philrice.gov.ph in their browser. By tapping the ellipsis (three dots) menu, they will find and choose the “Add to home screen” followed by tapping the “Install” option. After a minute, users will find, open, and use the RiceLytics shortcut icon on their devices.

For iOS devices, users must repeat the same first step. In the upper right corner of the browser, they should tap the more menu option and scroll up to find and select “Add to Home Screen.” By tapping “Add” in the top right corner of the screen, they will confirm its addition and can now find the icon on their home screen to use.

Since its inception in 2021 through the PhilRice Data Analytics Initiative Project, RiceLytics has become an indispensable resource for crafting evidence-based policies, programs, and research aimed at uplifting the nation’s rice sector.

“We invite all rice industry stakeholders to leverage this platform for data-driven decisions that will strengthen rice production and benefit Filipino farmers,” Laureano emphasized.

Access the platform at ricelytics.philrice.gov.ph and experience the future of rice data governance today.
