To kick-off the National Womenโs Month, DA-PhilRice Isabela recognized the vital roles and contributions of women in society in the past, present, and future in a simple ceremony this morning. This yearโs sub-theme, โLead Like the Babaylans, Filipinas,โ highlights the strength, wisdom, and leadership of Filipino women inspired by the traditional babaylans.
During the activity, all staffers, mostly males, and on-the-job trainees showcased their talents through spoken poetry, singing, and dance performances to entertain and express their heartfelt tribute to the women in the crowd.
The celebration concluded with a simple fellowship, where staff shared purple-themed snacks and drinks. Purple signifies the support to women empowerment and gender equality.
