Increasing production costs and volatile market prices have severely hurt Filipino farmers, but thanks to PhilRice’s high-yielding rice varieties for different rice ecosystems, holistic and science-based training on rice farming, modern farming technologies that reduce input costs, and information, education, and communication materials that guided farmers throughout their fields.
