Our partners play a big role in achieving PhilRice mission and vision. Dr. Flordeliza H. Bordey, deputy executive director for research, extends her heartfelt gratitude to all our partners and stakeholders.

Read her message:

Christmas is such a wonderful time of the year, and not only because of our festive commemoration of the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, our Savior, but because it also keeps us grounded on the things that matter most for humans: relationships.

This holiday season at PhilRice, we wanted to express our deepest appreciation to our partners and collaborators who graciously served as our wingmen and extension to the many areas where our limited resources could not have taken us. As we keep emphasizing, the road we tread to achieving rice security is founded on unity and cooperation. By lending each other a hand, our shared vision of a progressive, vibrant rice industry where all key players share cutting-edge agricultural innovations and enjoy competitive profit returns becomes attainable.

Like we promised in our PhilRice Strategic Plan 2017-2022, we will continue to strive to come up and package interventions that will allow our Filipino rice farmers to score high in the competitiveness index: the ability to gain higher yield at lower production cost. This basic tenet will continue to guide us as we work together next year and the coming years ahead. Meanwhile, the lessons we have gleaned from our experiences working on the ground are to be used as leverage for coming up with strategies that are practical, effective, and adaptable.

By the first and second quarters of 2019, we will be ready to share with you our 2018 Milestones and R&D Highlights. Thank you for your significant contribution to these strings of achievements. Congratulations!

Again, this holiday season, we just want to let you all know how much we grateful we are for having you.

I wish all of us a Christmas filled with overflowing love and a New Year bursting with peace.
