AgriHackathon 2.0

PhilRice will once again host the AgriHackathon, a two-day event that aims to discover green, practical and smart farming technologies using web or mobile apps that could be very useful in making daily task easier for farmer, researcher and techno-farmer constituents.

PhilRice challenges the participants to help on its vision on competitive, sustainable, and resilient rice farming sector through the use of clean, green, practical, and smart technologies (Clean GPS for CSR). Hence the competition will be based on these challenges and will be grouped by the following categories:

  • Open Field – bring your ideas to life using green, practical and smart technologies like sensors, automation/mechanization, artificial intelligence, virtual reality and others.
    • App to help farmers
    • Environmental friendly app or climate change App
    • App to help and support researchers

 

  • Battle Field – create an educational virtual game that showcase, monitor and manage farm/field activities.

 

  • Enclose Field – develop or enhance an app/idea that PhilRice will provide.

The hackathon is open to all developers of all ages. This is a free event, no charge for admission, but registration is required.
