Average user rating0.0out of 5 In farming, water is indispensable. When water is scarce, every drop counts. Thus, its source must be managed well to maximize its use. The drip irrigation system being developed in the Ilocos Region by PhilRice Batac tries to efficiently regulate the water flow for irrigating rice-based farming areas planted with high value crops. Instead of using traditional furrows, the system utilizes dripper lines in tubes. The study aims to attain high yield and quality of vegetable crops while increasing water use efficiency and savings. Initial results will be available at the end of Dry Season 2008
